Three quarters of people polled for a Populus poll for The Times think that Gordon Brown is a ‘loser’ - and nearly three fifths of those voted Labour in 2005.

No surprise but the Conservatives won Henley with 57% of the vote….
There were however a few key points from this by-election:
The much trumpted Lib Dem by-election machine didn’t make any significant impact.
Labour lost their deposit with a humiliating 3% of the vote.
Labour lost 85% of their voters from 2005.
