Oscars Double Success

I was delighted to see that Reading’s Kate Winslet finally succeeded in picking up an Oscar last night, a remarkable achievement!
Also congratulations must go to Reading’s Ricky Gervais who wrote some of the amusing jokes for the host.

Reading East or Reading West?

It’s long been known that Martin Salter likes to attend photo opportunities in Reading East, this seems to have been confirmed by a letter to the Reading Chronicle today, signed “Martin Salter MP, Reading East”.
Just to confirm… Martin Salter is the Labour MP for Reading West, Rob Wilson is the Conservative MP for Reading East.

• Attended a Neighbourhood Action Group meeting
• Attended three council meetings including an Education and Children’s Services Scrutiny Panel
• Attended Cabinet
• Attended a full council meeting (6.30pm until 11.30pm!)
